I am a great teacher, very empathetic and with a lot of patience! I care very much about each student that I teach, meeting their needs, expanding their technique, and perhaps, even more so – their musical phrasing, expression and understanding of the music.
If anyone would like to book regular lessons with me I would be very happy to take them on, or if you would prefer to have occasional lessons that would present no problem either.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with me, I began performing around the UK at the age of 12. Won a scholarship to the Royal Manchester College of Music at 16yrs, and won 2 International competitions at the age of 19.
I studied regularly with John Williams at his house in London, and performed with huge success in a BBC recording of a master class with Julian Bream. Julian was so impressed with my playing that he asked me to join him in Paris later that year where we televised a lesson for French Television. I have appeared on TV and Radio many times, and performed in both the Queen Elizabeth Hall and the Wigmore Hall in London.
I emigrated to NZ in 97’ with a large family, and returned to International touring this year with a tour of Canada and the UK. I have a passion for teaching and performing, and I am really looking forward to the move up to Auckland – it has to be warmer than Wellington!
