Brother Guitar Duo,Ziggy and Miles, Concert.

Ziggy & Miles Johnston inject music with contagious energy and inimitable zeal.

Internationally award-winning guitar brothers Ziggy & Miles Johnston are renowned for passionate performances of diverse repertoire – crisscrossing the standard classical guitar canon with music from Australia, Spain and Latin America, and jazz influenced works.

Be transported into a night of magic and surprises as brothers Ziggy & Miles Johnston trot the globe to share tales of mysticism and passion from the guitar. From Spain to India to Japan and France, musical treasures await. Rodrigo’s Tonadilla is redolent with the theatricality of Spanish song, while Carlo Domeniconi’s Prana draws upon Indian music and Hindu spiritualism. Andrew York’s Sanzen-in traces his journey to a temple in Kyoto, Japan, and Francis Kleynjans’s Four Movements is a gem in the French impressionistic style. The brothers dish out wonder at every twist and turn.

Andrew Blanch & Ariel Nurhadi present Alchemy: A World-Tour

Andrew Blanch and Ariel Nurhadi have been playing as a guitar duo since 2014. As a duo, they have been
described as “two stunning young guitarists…virtuosic” (Sydney Arts Guide) and have been praised for
their “dazzling guitar playing” (ArtsHub). Their performances have taken them around Eastern Australia,
and they also collaborate with Australia’s celebrated baritone Josè Carbò in a group called The Josè Carbò
Trio.
Their current duo project entitled ‘Alchemy’, is named after the very first piece they learnt together, by the
late great Australian guitarist and composer Phillip Houghton. Alchemy is something of a ‘world-tour’,
featuring some of the finest music written/arranged for guitar duet, with masterpieces from France, Spain,
Brazil, Argentina, USA, and Australia, including Phil’s acclaimed ‘Three Duets’ that encapsulates Alchemy.
